Otanewainuku Rimu and Whataroa Falls Trail is a 5.5 kilometer out and back trail located near Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking.
An easy walk with lovely Whataroa Falls at the end. This trail takes you through a beautiful forest with stands of ancient trees and lots of birds. The track is well maintained, well signed, and shaded the whole way. Great for families with kids. Expect an 8km drive along the gravel road to access the trailhead.

Beautiful Rimu trees, not busy when I went. Not too hard, anybody can do it. Waterfall and swim is great!
